ServiceNow Developer (Mid-Level)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a mid-level ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, understands ITSM and related modules, and can work independently on moderately complex requirements while collaborating with stakeholders and senior developers. Experience working in domain-separated environments is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, Change, Incident, and Request Management.
- Develop and maintain scripts such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
- Build and support Service Catalog items, record producers, and approval workflows.
- Develop and maintain solutions in domain-separated environments, ensuring proper domain visibility, data isolation, and access controls.
- Configure domain-aware tables, references, and queries in accordance with ServiceNow domain separation best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to domain access, data visibility, and cross-domain interactions.
- Participate in platform upgrades, patches, and health scans, ensuring adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and technical teams to gather and implement requirements.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Support testing activities including unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting APIs.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Hands-on experience working in domain-separated ServiceNow instances.
- Strong understanding of domain separation concepts such as domain hierarchy, domain-aware tables, and cross-domain data access.
- Experience working across multiple environments (Dev/Test/Prod) using update sets and/or source control.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow certifications such as CSA (Certified System Administrator) or CAD (Certified Application Developer).
- Experience with integrations including REST, SOAP, JDBC, and MID Server, particularly in domain-separated environments.
- Familiarity with CMDB concepts and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Experience with UI Builder, Workspace, Service Portal, or related UI technologies.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Experience supporting HRSD, CSM, or custom ServiceNow applications in a multi-domain setup.
